Residential Finalist

The house was designed to resemble an old barn that had been converted into a modern home – a solid schist structure with weatherboard additions.

To achieve the look, stained PSP Cedar weatherboards were used on the exterior, along with reclaimed skate roofing. This rustic atmosphere was carried across to the interior, with PSP American White Oak used for the floors and window joinery, and PSP Cedar for the louvers and insect doors. The mood is literally topped off with a painted tongue and groove timber-lined ceiling.
